Re: The Lispworks Editor Mouse what does the three-arrow delta mean?

What you describe looks like the shape that the pointer takes when a GC starts. And, I suppose, the purpose of the change is to signal that the system may be unresponsive as long as the cursor keeps that shape.

I suppose this is just a curiosity question.

Sometimes in the LispWorks Editor, the mouse cursor changes to something like a large delta shape made of three arrows. Then, when I move the mouse, the cursor immediately reverts to normal.

I hope somebody can figure out what I am trying to describe. I know how to take screen shots in Windows. But I don’t know how to capture the mouse cursor.

I’m wondering if anyone knows why the cursor changes to the arrow-delta? In other words, what is the arrow-delta telling me?

Thank you, Pierpaolo Bernardi. I like the explanation about LispWorks garbage collection. Makes sense.

Thank you, Rommel Martinez. You showed me there are ways to capture the cursor in Windows through screenshot programs.
