FLI: difference between usage of :pointer-type and :type
Dear List I am currently reading the FLI manual and am trying to make sense of it. In section 3.5 More examples of allocation and pointer allocation, the example given shows that ":type :int" and ":pointer-type '(:pointer :int)" have exactly the same effect (Produce a pointer to type :INT). So what is the point (no pun intended) of having the two methods?
