Selected menu items

Is there a way to set a menu item to have a third state?

For example, if I have 10 items in a selection and in my context menu I 
want to have a menu item checked if the items in that selection have a 
particular label, but only some of them do, I'd like to have that 
reflected in the menu item as opposed to suggesting that they all have 
them or they all don't.
