Cannot load a library in /usr/lib on Mac OS X

Hello,

I am trying to load the /usr/lib/libffi.dylib foreign library in LispWork 6.1.1 64-bit / OS X 10.9, but it complains saying that the library is not found.

The documentation does not specify the search list used on Mac OS X.  It seems /usr/lib is not searched.

Is this me missing something obvious, a functional bug, or a documentation bug?
