CAPI browser-pane contents

Is it possible to directly set the HTML contents that a browser-pane will render as opposed to directing it to a URL? Outside of that, I can write the HTML to a tmp file on disk and direct the browser to that, but... well... I'd rather not if I don't have to. But I don't see anything in the documentation telling me how.
