push-button with :default-p on colored background

Hi,

I have a push-button in a layout with background :white. Setting :default-p for the button creates an ugly gray rectangular "border" around the button, at least on Cocoa.

Is there any workaround for this? I've tried to change :internal-border, :visible-border etc, no luck so far...
