memory-growth-margin on LW6.0.1/win32
Hi,I want to use as much memory as possible with LW6.0.1/win32.
The documentation of set-maximum-memory explains:
"When the maximum memory is reached (either that set by set-maximum-memory or the physical memory limit) the system will become unstable. Therefore this situation should be avoided." I experienced that the "system" which becomes unstable includes MSwin.
The user can monitor the memory growth using memory-growth-margin.
However, on win32 the maximum memory has to be set using set-maximum-memory.
Now, the question is how can we determine a suitable value for the maximum memory which is large and allows to stop further allocation (and save to disk) just before the system becomes unstable. Is it necessary to consult some Sysinternals type of software ? How wold you do this ?
Any hints would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.
Best regards,
Frank
