capi:execute-with-interface vs capi:apply-in-pane-process

Hello,

I would need a confirmation on how I understand those CAPI functions.

With regards to asynchronicity, what is the difference between capi:execute-with-interface and capi:apply-in-pane-process.

I understand from the docs that execute-with-interface queues the function and executes it later in time, whereas apply-in-pane-process synchronously execute the function ...  in the pane's process, and returns the result.

Can someone help me shed some light on this?
