Error opening utf-8 encoded file in LWL

Hello,

it seems that LWL has difficulties with opening files containing  
international characters. For example, the file attached to this mail  
is opened without any problems in LWW and LWM, but in LWL we obtain  
error

Cannot insert string #<SIMPLE-TEXT-STRING (86) "Error reading fil"...>  
in buffer "*Messages Buffer*"

displayed in the message buffer. The Linux version (we've tried  
several) we use has no problems with Czech characters/fonts in other  
applications.

Could anybody help?
