capi events

Hello,
i have question about CAPI events.
is possible to capture events (such as  INPUT-MODEL in OUTPUT-PANE) on  
menu, toolbar items?
By other words, for example I need to now, that user has clicked on  
File menu and cursor is on the "Save As..." item.
Any idea how to do it?
