List-panel with compound objects?

Hi,

Can anybody give me some suggestion: I'd like to create a list-panel which
displays compound capi objects. I guess I can't use CAPI:LIST-PANEL but have
to roll my own perhaps inherited from  CAPI:CHOICE or CAPI:COLLECTION?

Can I react on mouse-click inside a layout?
