Using LW editor in a Cocoa app

Folks,

Is it possible to use the LW editor widget in a Cocoa app without  
using CAPI?

I'm thinking of an app that will require a Lisp editor and I would  
like to have syntax highlighting, etc. I don't want to use CAPI,  
though, as I can do far more with native Cocoa.
