capi :help type help callback

Hi,

What causes the help facility to send the :help type to the help callback?
I looked at the example in capi/elements/help.lisp which provides code to use 
a :help type, but I couldn't find a way to trigger it. 

I am using LW Linux 4.4 Professional.

On a related note, what I am trying to do is get a dialog to appear whenever 
the user types Ctrl-F (or whatever) regardless of what has focus (e.g. when a 
tree-view has focus.) Perhaps there is another way to do that? Once I have 
the appropriate menu displayed, a :mnemonic can be used, but that isn't 
ideal.
