Seeking compatible lesstif or openmotif for glibc 2.2

Hi,

I use FreeBSD 4.10. I've been trying to get LWL 4.3.7 Personal Edition to
run on it. FreeBSD comes with several Linux emulation packages, namely,
RH6, RH7, RH8 and Debian. 

With the FreeBSD-packaged RH7 and RH8, there is a problem with their glibc
2.3 that causes LWL to throw the error "mumble Win32 io-create-file
mumble". (!) I think messages on this list indicated that it is a bug with
RH's glibc that is fixed in Debian.

With the FreeBSD-packaged Debian (and RH6), the glibc is 2.2 and
precompiled versions of lesstif or openmotif want glibc-2.3.

Before I install a Debian-in-a-virtual-machine [1] to build either lesstif
or openmotif myself, I have to ask: Does any one have compatible ones to
share, please? I.e., versions of lesstif or openmotf that link to glibc 2.2
and work with LWL.
