Q: socket server example without MP?

I usually run LispWorks in the console mode where MP is turned
off. I have had bad luck "interactively turning on MP" in the
console mode.

Anyway, I need a simple blocking non-MP socket server
application and would appreciate a web link to an example.
(Google let me down on this one :-)

I would ideally like an example like the comm:start-up-server
example that works without multi-processing.
